How does one become a professional darts player, what does the world of darts look like and why is it associated with alcohol?
Belgian semi-professional darts player Andy Baetens’ biggest dream is becoming the world’s champion. But this isn’t the easiest goal to achieve. In addition to his job at a local supermarket, Andy trains every day to one day make a profession out of his passion. He also plays tournaments all over the world to move up the rankings. We follow Andy during the Darts Slovak Open, one of these tournaments he needs to compete in. With the additional expertise of Belgian darts legend and TV commentator Erik Clarys, we get a glimpse into the still unknown world of a sport more associated with drinking beer than perceived as a lifestyle.
